The production assistant gig turned out to be for Making the Band 4 on MTV! I just clocked eleven hours toward it today, with another day in the production office tomorrow and a week of location work to follow, Monday through Friday.
Don't know if I could be more pumped!
Since I'm contracted to work for about twelve hours a day, I don't know if I'll be blogging quite as much this week, but I will definitely update as soon as possible!

Wow! I have to say I've been following your blog and this is fabulous news! I want to apply to go to London as soon as that Youth Mobility Visa comes out in November, and I'd just love to do what you're doing.
I don't have a degree in the field like you do but I'm thinking maybe I can get some experience while still back here in Vancouver, Canada. Anyway, we'll see.
Do you mind telling me how did this gig came about for you, though? Had you contacted the production company directly at first? Or you'd applied through a temping agency? Thanks!
I actually posted my CV in Film London's crew database, and the company saw it before contacting me directly. I didn't think anything would come of it, but I really lucked out on this one, so I'd recommend trying that in addition to applying for jobs all over the place!
