A Fun Game

Count the cranes!

When you walk along the River Thames here in London, strolling along the super-cool South Bank, look across to the other side of the river and the skyline. There are gritty, stylized, historic buildings--St. Paul's Cathedral included--and LOADS AND LOADS OF CRANES.

Today I counted 37. Here are a few:

(I also sat on the bench where Liam Neeson sat in Love Actually. No surprise there.)

I've started racking up a whole list of things that I want to see and do while I'm here (at least when I start earning money again), including a few London Film Festival events. The festival runs from October 15th - 30th, and the ones on my agenda are the Quantum of Solace premiere, a "screentalk" interview with Danny Boyle (director of Trainspotting and 28 Days Later), and a screenwriting masterclass with Charlie Kaufman (screenwriter of Being John Malkovich and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind), among other screenings! Guess how much I'm geeking out right now.

More soon!

Haha... I totally thought you meant birds, so I'm looking at the picture for a cool thirty seconds before I realized you meant CONSTRUCTION cranes.

Sorry that the job hunt (just typo'd to "jib hunt." Silly.) is going so frustratingly. I've vowed to myself to start searching myself on Monday. Thankfully I do technically have a job, so I've made my goal to have gainful, relevant employment by the start of the new year.

Best of luck and love vibes sent your way, lovely!
